We at MediCann strive to protect our patients by educating the community on the legitimate uses of Medical Cannabis. We believe that patient safety is best secured by creating an understanding within the community that encompasses local government and law enforcement agencies. In April of this year, we hired a retired Homicide Detective to provide training to line-ups across the State to bridge the gaps of misinformation that separate law enforcement and patient rights. My name is Joe Valle, and I’m a former Police officer for the city of Richmond, CA. Thank you for checking out MediCann’s Law Enforcement Education Page. I am here today to introduce you to MediCann, Inc. and also to give you some useful tips on how to stay safe and legal when medicating. I want to give you a little back ground on my experience in law enforcement so that you know why MediCann has chosen me to teach you about how to conduct yourself during a law enforcement encounter.

First of all I’m Viet Nam Vet and I continued to serve in the Marine Corps as an MP after my tour until 1967. In 1970 I became an Alameda Deputy County Sheriff reserve, which I did for five years. Next I became a fulltime Police Officer for the City of Richmond retiring in 2004 from the Homicide Division with over 30 years of Law Enforcement experience.

My mission today is to try and help you as well as your local law enforcement agency to develop a better understanding of the law as it pertains to your Proposition-215 rights.
